Dayton Unger

Dayton Unger died April 4, 2002 at age 16
264th street & 62nd Ave. N, Abbotsford

A statement from Dayton's mother:

A young, male, new driver in a 5-litre Mustang with 3 male passengers were on their way home. The male driver decided to speed pass another vehicle while crossing an illegal double line in a school zone. He attempted to make it back into the right lane, lost control, hit a large boulder and flew into a tree. The driver suffered minor injuries. The front seat passenger was ejected from the vehicle and thrown 30-40 feet. He suffered injuries to his head. The two male passengers in the back seat, one being Dayton, both died.

For this young driver his night was going great with his buddies until he became a road warrior; he was driving illegally. It was like pulling the trigger on a gun. He forgot that he had precious cargo in the vehicle and was supposed to be in full control of the vehicle and others' lives. The careless actions devastated the families, friends and the entire community.
